Dow Jones, NASDAQ Composite, and S&P 500 are the three most followed stock indexes in the US. They differ in how they are composed.

The NASDAQ Composite includes more than half of the stocks held by established high-tech companies. The S&P 500 contains 505 stocks of US companies with the largest capitalization. Dow Jones also includes stocks from the 30 largest US companies.
