According to the US-based crypto exchange, it has sufficient funds to allow clients to withdraw their assets within that time. Clients will have the choice to convert their crypto funds into Japanese yen or transfer them to a third party wallet.
Kraken launched its first services in Japan in 2014. They pulled out of the market in 2018. In 2020, Kraken launched services in Japan through Payward Asia, a Tokyo-based subsidiary. This was part of a bigger plan to expand its services to APAC markets.
