Traders will pay close attention to initial jobless claims and the University of Michigan sentiment report. Other important economic releases include trade data and consumer credit.
The Fed’s talk will resume Tuesday when Powell, Chair of the Fed, speaks in Washington. Barr talks about financial inclusion. Williams, Cook and Barr will be appearing Wednesday. Waller and Harker are both speaking at the Crypto Conference Friday.
The White House has a lot to do this week, as President Biden will deliver the State of the Union Address.
